Dr Khan holds a doctorate in Development Studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. His expertise includes Development Economics, Political Economy of conflict and development, peacebuilding, livelihood and environmental security with a focus on Pakistan and the South Asia region. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in Pakistan`s conflict and disaster-affected areas measuring the impacts of recovery programs on beneficiaries/recipients through a results-based approach analyzing programs. In addition, he has published extensively in ISI-listed reputed international journals, published book chapters, and policy briefs and has undertaken media engagements on development, economic and interdisciplinary themes.
